One week before the official release of *Spiral*, kanun player and composer Sofia Labropoulou invites you to an intimate advanced listening session at the Strenge Kammer.

Spiral is a solo album for kanun and prepared kanun that moves between composition and improvisation. Conceived as an inward journey, the album unfolds in a spiral-like structure: recurring, transforming, and searching. Across seven tracks, original compositions enter into a dialogue with music by Hildegard von Bingen and György Kurtág, as well as with literary and philosophical references from Dante, Dionysis Kapsalis, Guy Debord, Emma Goldman, and others. These diverse worlds converge on the kanun and the prepared kanun to form a shared soundscape that moves between resonance, fragility, rupture, and transformation.

The evening is not a live concert, but a shared listening experience: an opportunity to hear the album in its entirety even before its official release on November 6, 2026. Following the performance, there will be an informal conversation with the artist about the music, the ideas behind the album, and its creative process.
