Quotes from compositions by Carla Bley, Viola Falb, Thelonius Monk, Bela Bartok, Eric Satie, Heinrich Werkl, and others, as well as from their own compositions, serve as inspiration for free improvisations. In these, motifs and themes from the compositions are further developed and expanded upon.

The two musicians imaginatively explore unusual ways of playing both instruments. Pianist Adriane Muttenthaler plays both on and inside the piano, using felt mallets, jazz brushes, ping-pong balls, paper, etc. Vibraphonist Tobias Meissl transfers pianistic ideas to his instrument and, with the help of various preparations, mallets, and double bass bows, searches for interesting sounds on and beyond the sound plates.

The result is an exciting, unique musical dialogue that is constantly evolving in the moment.
