Max Plattner & Nageem 'Ephemere Music – Improvising Architecture'

David Six: piano, keyboards
Mina Naomi: bass
Max Plattner: drums

NAGEEM is music in the making. A trio that turns the moment into material—sound as architecture created in the instant. Under the program title “Ephemere Music—Improvising Architecture,” David Six, Mina Naomi, and Max Plattner devote themselves to the art of listening: every decision arises from collective intuition, every gesture has the potential to transform the space.

NAGEEM's music moves between free improvisation, minimal music, and contemporary jazz. Acoustic sounds meet subtle electronics, while distorted resonances from the double bass and drums open up new textures, colors, and moods. The result is not a finished work, but an event – fleeting, lively, unrepeatable.
“We play to find out what happens when you really listen.”
Reduction, patience, and silence are not gaps, but central building blocks of this musical language. NAGEEM does not seek perfection, but truthfulness—that one moment when sound, time, and perception intertwine.
The three musicians bring an extraordinary artistic spectrum to this endeavor: pianist David Six is internationally renowned for his work between contemporary composition and improvised music. His projects have taken him to venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and the Poisson Rouge in New York.
Bassist Mina Naomi combines jazz, pop, and experimental music with a keen sense of sound architecture—she works both in the studio and on international stages with artists from the fields of hip-hop and sound art.

Drummer Max Plattner, most recently nominated as “Newcomer of the Year” for the Austrian Jazz Award 2025, is considered one of the most exciting voices on the young Austrian jazz scene.
