Beate Wiesinger 'Resistance'

Beate Wiesinger: bass

Beate Wiesinger (born in 1986 in Grieskirchen) is a bassist and musician living in Vienna. Her musical work spans genres and explores a wide variety of perspectives on the theme of improvisation. She is the founder of the band E C H O BOOMER, in which she combines different sound languages and forms of expression.
Resistance is an inner counterforce that always arises when we strive for something subjectively significant—be it a project, a courageous decision, or a concession. It disguises itself in many guises: procrastination, perfectionism, self-doubt, or rational excuses. But it is also a crucial indicator: the stronger it appears, the more significant the next step seems to be. It tests our determination and challenges us to surpass ourselves. Because it is precisely where resistance is greatest that our self-determination often begins.
