Dsilton plays music in multi-tonal moods with groovy, modulating rhythms in energetic arrangements.
The current program intertwines cycles of works by Georg Vogel and David Dornig. Despite their diverse approaches to composition and improvisation, they always share a common basis: complex rhythms and the expanded sound palette of 31-tone tuning. The spectrum ranges from enharmonically intertwined forms of improvisation to 31-tone serial composition and arrangements based on processed field recordings. This multi-tonal journey is made possible by a special set of instruments: newly developed 31-tone keyboard instruments—the Clavitone, percussion, and an eight-string electric guitar with 31 frets per octave.
