The Viennese saxophonist Guido Spannocchi, who has lived in London since 2011, has dedicated himself almost exclusively to his own compositions since 2017, entirely in the spirit of contemporary music, spanning genres between hard bop, exotica, groove and classical music. The focus of the pieces is the interplay of the ensemble, wide arcs of tension, surprising changes and a constant search for new versions of his own repertoire make these concerts an unmistakable experience.

Spannocchi always focuses on intimacy when choosing his fellow musicians, which is mainly due to the fact that the group tours extensively and has not only played together regularly for many years, but are also Spannocchi's best friends, so to speak.

The new program is entitled "Chamber Music" and provides an insight into the quartet's forthcoming album,

Danny Keane on cello and piano, Grammy nominated composer and longtime musical director of Anoushka Shankar and sideman of Mulatu Astatke as well as Nitin Sawhney, Damon Albarn, Lamb, Bat For Lashes, The Who, and many more.

James Larter Vibraphone / Percussion Genre-hopping and known for his work with Sampha, Tony Visconti, Gang of Youths, Berlioz, Dave Okumo, London Philharmonic, English National Opera, St Petersburg Ballet and soloist with BBC Orchestra and The Philharmonia.

Andrea Di Biase double bass, one of the most booked musicians in London due to his flexibility with both Arco and Pizzicato, was also part of Kenny Wheeler's last trio and plays regularly with Heidi Vogel (cinematic Orchestra), Ivo Neame (Phronesis) and others.
