PHANDA is the brilliant synergy of four of Vienna's most highly acclaimed musicians of their genres. Darius Edlinger /guitar, Philipp Nykrin /keys/synths, Philipp Eder /synthbass and Andreas Lettner /drums cross the borders of existing genres and create their own universe of systematically improvised beats which consists of extraordinary synthscapes, forward-pushing beats, delicate guitar hooks and deep sounding synth basses.
What makes them stand out as a band is their individual and complex approach to suddenly shifting between timbres and leading riffs without losing their forward-pushing synth and beat elements. Their distinctive sound highlights their love for beats and can be traced back to their musical roots in Jazz, Hip Hop and the various fields of electronic music.
