New York–born saxophonist Nikita Sipiagin is an emerging voice on the international jazz scene, known for blending a deep connection to tradition with a modern, exploratory sound. A student of Mark Turner and Dick Oatts, he has developed a distinctive voice as both a performer and bandleader. The son of trumpeter Alex Sipiagin, and influenced by the lineage of Toshiko Akiyoshi and Charlie Mariano, Sipiagin carries a rich musical heritage while forging a bold and expressive artistic identity of his own.

Founded in 2022, the Nikita Sipiagin Quartet brings together a dynamic group of young musicians from the United States, Spain, and France. Rooted in the New York jazz tradition, the band presents a fresh, contemporary perspective through original compositions alongside reimagined selections from the Great American Songbook. Their music emphasizes interplay, individuality, and a shared commitment to creative expression.

The quartet has performed extensively across Europe, with appearances in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, and Belgium, steadily building a reputation for energetic and cohesive live performances.
