Bouroyen Reisigl Duo
Vienna-based musicians Amina Bouroyen and Anna Reisigl meet on equal footing—voice and double bass—and engage in an open, multifaceted dialogue. The compositions seem fragile and transparent, yet they open up vast sonic spaces for improvisation, poetic nuances, and subtle dynamic developments. Somewhere between song-like quality and experimental openness, a soundscape emerges that is as intimate as it is surprising, subtly drawing on jazz forms without being confined to them.
The duo makes its debut at the hörthört Festival organized by the Viennese label listenclosely and releases the EP *Foam* in 2025. In September 2026, their debut album *May We Be* is released, created in collaboration with minciospace—the Center for Music, Art Development, and Collective Exchange in Vienna—and exploring its annual theme of *Ohn/Macht*.
Reisigl and Bouroyen create sonic spaces into which one can immerse oneself, wandering through them as through a flowing landscape and letting oneself be carried by the musical current. Here, minimalism is experienced not as reduction but as condensation: every note, every breath of the voice carries meaning; every bassline creates depth and resonance.” - Michael Ternai, mica (2025)
