It marked a truly memorable moment in the cultural life of the region around St. Johann in Tirol: the first gathering of the lmpro Orchestra free music st johann in November 2015. Female musicians from a wide variety of musical styles, representing a colorful array of instruments and voices, came together to make music regularly and consistently, to experiment with sounds, and to pay homage to free improvisation. Following performances at the ORF Studio in Innsbruck, the Echoraum in Vienna, the Alter Schlachthof in Wels, jazz:it in Salzburg, and at the artacts and Klangspuren Schwaz festivals, the ensemble celebrated its 10th anniversary on stage last year.

For each of their three performances at the Strenge Kammer in Porgy&Bess, the ensemble will invite a different guest musician.
