Since the successful 2022/23 Stage Band season, the Christoph Cech Jazz Orchestra Project (CC JOP) has been performing twice a year at Porgy & Bess in Vienna. It is an honor to continue holding Stage Band status at one of the world’s best jazz clubs—and certainly the most important jazz venue in Austria. This jazz orchestra—with its unusual lineup featuring a harp, two violins, and vocals—performs exclusively compositions by its founder, Christoph Cech; since 2016, this has amounted to over 80 scores. Over the years, the regular audience has become noticeably younger and frequently exceeds the 300-person mark.
