With their newly released EP “moloch,” woschdog—now with an expanded and complete lineup—explores new musical territories and chronicles all the fallacies of a patriarchal, hegemonic world.

Since their debut album “foin,” the five musicians have dedicated themselves to the unflinching poetry of the Viennese dialect, packaged in a hybrid of downtempo, jazz, electronic, blues, and pop. Combined with Ingrid Lang’s personal stories and observations, her use of language, and her eerily beautiful vocals, these elements coalesce into an exceptionally atmospheric listening experience.

The Falter has described this new sound within the Viennese music scene as “Viennese trip-hop.” With the newly released EP “moloch,” woschdog explores new musical realms with an expanded and now complete lineup, describing all the fallacies of a patriarchal-hegemonic world. Short, yet rich in content, this new little record grew out of a deep desire for a little respite. (Press release)
