The Viennese sextet has been captivating audiences since it was founded by bandleader and drummer Lukas Aichinger with its surprising and cross-genre playing - from surf rock to jazz, from sound painting to folk music. There is plenty of room for the individual strengths of each band member. But the immense power of collective improvisation is also readily evoked.
All of this comes together in compositions that deal with themes such as society in changing times and the resulting psychosocial effects to create a homogeneous, audible and often danceable sound.
You can get an impression of this on the two albums released so far, "Thinker Try To Dance" (2020) and "If Life Were A Liquid" (2022) - but the best way to experience this music is live!
This was recently possible at the Saalfelden Jazz Festival, Outreach Festival Schwaz and the Italian Jazz&Wine of Peace Festival.
