The 2022 NEA Jazz Master Stanley Clarke (one of the founding members and collaborators with Chick Corea (in Return to Forever) celebrates the music he and his friends made with the worldwide success of Romantic Warrior and the other albums the band created.
This performance will pass that joy and messaging on to the next generations by presenting both music from that time as well as original songs written and arranged by Stanley Clarke. Clarke’s virtuosic young band for this monumental night includes keyboardist Jaharis Stampley, guitarist Colin Cook, drummer Jeremiah Collier and sax player Ernesto Modeste.
