As Jimi Hendrix released in 1967 the title “Purple Haze”, it defined Chris and my world new. But I never thought that after 50 years the music from Jimi will still take this central place in my life, brain & heart. It makes so much fun after all these years to play this great, great music and above all, that we could enlarge our trio to a 12 piece band with 6 horns and thanks to Christoph Cech, the shock arranger, the horns sound awesome and exciting, as I never heard it in a jazz rock formation before. We will celebrate Jimi’s 75th birthday together with my 64th birthday and our 50th anniversary of the stage jubilee of Chris and me excessively with all our friends, our wives Uli and Uli and our daughters Lisa and Alexandra, we love you, and I wish we can be hippies till the end of our life. So I want to thank all the musicians for their musical contribution and overwhelming musicality, hope we can still play some decades. We have still a lot of plans to realise, so let’s get started.
