Tara Nome Doyle
Irish-Norwegian artist Tara Nome Doyle has released a masterpiece of chamber rock with her third album, “Ekko.” She also won the award for Best Soundtrack at this year’s Diagonale film festival for the film “Rose” by Markus Schleinzer, starring Sandra Hüller. The multi-instrumentalist will perform as a duo at the Blue Bird.
The Ocelots
The Ocelots are twins Ashley and Brandon Watson from Wexford, Ireland. Since they tour extensively, they’ve built up a loyal fan base with their distinctive melodic folk. At Blue Bird, they’ll perform fan favorites as well as their latest songs. Their music explores topics as diverse as love, Irish migration, the perception of time, and the simple joys of cycling.
Clara Luzia
She is one of the godmothers of the Austrian singer-songwriter phenomenon of the 2000s—and one of the Blue Bird team’s longest-standing companions. She first performed at the inaugural Blue Bird back in 2005 with her band at the time, Alalie Lilt. Clara Luzia is one of the country’s most versatile and prolific artists; her work also spans theater, film scores, and radio plays. Her songs often deal with isolation and powerlessness; but it wouldn’t be Clara Luzia if there weren’t a little bit of happiness to be found as well.
