Chanda Rule has just informed us that she is ill with Covid and therefore cannot perform. We would like to take this opportunity to wish her all the best and a speedy recovery. I have been friends with Kirk Lightsey for decades. I got to know him personally in Saalfelden in 1988, alongside the wonderful singer Özay. He was a guest at the "old" P&B with a wide variety of formations, and of course also at the "new" establishment. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, we reserved him a suite at the Hotel Imperial - without informing him in advance. I picked him up from the airport, a porter held the car door open in front of the hotel and the director took the opportunity to greet the master pianist personally. There could not have been a bigger surprise for Captain Kirk (as we call him). He thanked us with a fantastic concert that evening. Now we portray the versatile pianist in very different settings. Welcome back, Kirk! CH
