21:00 Thomasz Stanko Quartet (Pl/N/S/GB)

Poland is the country of jazz musicians such as Michael Urbaniak, Zbigniew Namyslowski, Urzula Dudziak, Adam Makowitz and Thomasz Stanko, who has won acclaim through his countless engagements next to Cecil Taylor, Albert Mangelsdorff and Jan Garbarek and above all through his Freelectronic band in the early 80s, which continued in the direction set by Miles Davis. In Austria, the trumpeter has appeared mainly in projects with Christian Muthspiel or Nicolas Simion. This time, Stanko's coming with the Norwegian Bobo Stenson (who's played with Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, Charles Lloyd...), the Swede Anders Jormin (also a permanent with Charles Lloyd for some years already) and Tony Oxley, the legendary drummer from England. A truly European quartet. CH
