From now till the end of April, P&B will be running an additional new series -- "Nightline" (Free Admission) -- featuring piano-based trios playing one hour sets between midnight and 1:00. Tonight the series will be kicked off by Uli Scherer, whose aesthetics now lie somewhere in the zone between Richie Beirach and John Cage and who is one of the fortunate few possessing the ability to reduce power and silence to a common denominator.
