21:00 Spoon Holz, Blech & Plastik (Cologne)

Take a spoonfull of this new formation out of Cologne -D- and mix it with your associations, dreams, pictures of your illusions. And take one more and listen to the musical communication. Always new, based on personal languages and in a free floating process of pulses, melodic bows, electronic quotations in an emotional firewalk of improvised dialogues into a music full of scenic and narrative impressions. And take one more...and another...and more...possibly you can`t get enough.

The members of this ensemble embody differing musico-aesthetic styles: Michael Gross comes from the classical mold and works in contemporary ensembles such as Klangforum Wien and the Ensemble Moderne ; Thomas Heberer is in high demand among European jazz trumpeters; drummer/composer Manos Tsangaris vacillates between serious music and pop, poetry publication and "art work." The projects of Frank Schulte -- the mastermind and electronic wizard of this ensemble -- center mainly on the use of multimedia techniques and on all possible sound modalities or, in some cases, on interactive musical dialogue. Whether it's made of wood, tin or plastic, a soup without a spoon is like salt without the sea! CH
