Dan Reinstein (sax), Vana Gierig (piano) and Mo Pleasure (bass) have a long history of playing together. They know each other since the music school years in Boston. They went on to play with various famous artists - Vana with Regina Carter, Lena Horne, Paquito D’Rivera - Mo Pleasure as musical director with Earth Wind & Fire, and with the late Michael Jackson band “This Is It”, among many others. Thomas Pfleger (guitar), initiator of „Jazzmed“, met the trio in the 90s. Throughout the years they have continuously re-connected to perform worldwide on each other’s projects. Mark Mondesir, (drums) who has worked with numerous musicians including John McLaughlin, Courtney Pine, McCoy Tyner, Joe Zawinul joined the group later. (Press release)

The net profit goes to the "neunerhaus", a social organisation based in Vienna, which offers living space and medical care to homeless persons. The concert is supported by the ESCRS (European Society of Catatarct and Refractive Surgeons)
